I could attest to that. Especially if it is done in the company of equally fun-loving friends.
It was only after I stepped into Bismillah to try their Beriyani Dum, was I truly enlightened what a beriyani dum is all about.
Certain established eateries will market beriyani dum with a normal beriyani and sprinkled it with cashew nuts before presenting it as “beriyani dum”. Bismillah sets itself apart from other eateries by serving the authentic beriyani dum ever.
If you realise there is no gravy served with the beriyani dum, you are right. This is because all the meat, fried shallots and the gravy itself is dumped within the beriyani rice. Hence, that is why it is called beriyani “dum”.
The other awesome kick ass thing about Bismillah’s beriyani dum? You don’t feel sleepy as opposed to how one usually feel after filling in on other normal beriyani.
I will definitely go here again; especially after post-marathons or especially if I am around the area.
